Jumping Water Metaphysical Books and Gifts officially opened its doors on May 4, 2002 at 813 B Savannah Highway in Charleston, SC. The store was opened by Kathleen Parker, a former public librarian and lover of books. The store has allowed her to pursue her passion of spiritual learning and education. Kathleen has always enjoyed reading and learning about the religions of the world and all spiritual subjects. She is also a firm believer in religious tolerance and acceptance. In December of 2004, Sarah Ragsdale joined the Jumping Water family and brought many gifts to the endeavor. In February 2005 we moved to 1956 C Maybank Highway, right next to the Terrace movie theater. Jumping Water officially closed its doors in April 2006 after the birth of Kathleen's daughter Lucy and their family's move to Florida. The online store was born in November, 2007.
Our Mission
Jumping Water strives to provide a spiritual shopping experience but also to act as an online educational and spiritual center. We offer a newsletter offering articles on a rich number of topics as well as a forum which we hope everyone will take advantage of to discuss topics of interest and share ideas with other people seeking knowledge.
